And the Geeks shall rule...

Another graduation picture! I had to show off my hat!! This is me with the professor that basically kept me from dropping out of school a few years back. After failing a few classes I wasn't sure I wanted to be an Engineer, but working in the lab with him doing real, practical Engineering projects showed me that, while I hate school, I love being an Engineer. Thanks Dr. Loo!! Also, thanks Tracy for decorating my hat for me when I didn't have the time.

Pomp and Circumstance!!

I finally made it, and it only took 7 years of blood, sweat, tears and insomnia! Now I finally get to take my life back, watch movies stress free, or play a video game without staying up until 5am suffering for it. I feel the stress rolling off more and more by the hour! And to top it all off I just got my confirmation number for my flight to Ireland in September! Wohoo!!

I was about to post a picture of my new business card with my new grown up job title "Systems Engineer" but my friend Linda pointed out that I shouldn't post my email and phone number for the world to see!! Never even occured to me :) I guess I still must be tired... maybe a few more days of recovery before I make any big decisions!!

Celebrating 9 years as a Christian today! It's pretty funny to reflect on how much things have changed through the years. I actually pulled out the letter I wrote to God that I read at my baptism which brought back a whole flood of memories of people and places and especially lots of what things would have been like if it had never happened... boy am I grateful!! I'm sure I never would have had the ambition to start college, or the constitution to finish, much less ever take the time to even figure out who I am!

I remember once my parents forgot my birthday when I was like 12 and it devastated me. Yesterday I was thinking about how I would feel if nobody remmeberd my birthday today (even though I'm terrible at remembering theirs!!) and I figure I would be just fine because I talk to all my favorite people all the time on the phone, through email or text messages. You guys thinking of me on 'not' my birthday means more then all the "Happy Birthday" phone calls in the world. (Poeple did remember anyway, and I love them for that as well!)

It's ME!!

I figured I should start off with a picture of me, and since this is the only one on my computer I guess it'll have to do! Since I graduate here in few days and get to start my grown up job I should be able to get a good digital camera to take some better ones.

One thing I learned this week is that being the 4 time Putting for Paychecks Champion doesn't make me even a decent golfer! Man I stink at Golf!! The only way I can hit it straight is to aim literally 45 degrees off to the left. I'll stick with Tiger Woods 2007 or the hallways at work :)
